REGULATIONS for 2009/2010
The International Piano Academy at Lake Monate opens its doors to musicians from all over the world, organizing a Professional Training Course with Roberto Plano (www.robertoplano.com).
Admission and attendance will be governed by the following rules:
Admission
To be admitted to the Professional Training Course, it will be necessary to pass an entrance examination.
Registration
The application form can be filed directly on-line or downloaded and sent to the e-mail address info@accademiapianisticamonate.com or to the following address: Accademia Pianistica Internazionale Lago di Monate, Via Cadorna, 238 – 21028 Travedona Monate - VA, Italy.
Lessons calendar and attendance fees
The course will begin in September, 2009 and will end on June, 2010. The lessons calendar will be discussed monthly, and directly with the teacher. Late applications (after September 2009) can be accepted by the teacher unquestionable judgment. Each student will be able to choose either of three alternatives:
- Frequency of 15 lessons (distributed throughout the academic year) - € 1000.oo
- Frequency of 10 lessons (one each month) - € 700.oo
- Frequency of 5 lessons (one every two months) - € 400.oo
The attendance fee can be deposited as a single payment by the end of the month after the application has been sent, or in two payments (each being half of the full amount), the first payable by the date as written above, and the second by the date that will be notified by the Academy.
The payment can be sent through bank transfer payable to Banca Popolare di Bergamo, Via Roma, 1 – 21028 Travedona Monate – Italy.

Attendance requirements
Unexcused absences that exceed 30% of the course will result in suspension of the student and exclusion from admission to the final exam.
Final exam and attendance and merit certificates
At the end of the course the students will be admitted, by the teacher unquestionable judgment, at the Final Exam, who will take place at the presence of famed teachers and music critics.
An Attendance Certificate will be issued for those who successfully pass the Final Exam.
A Merit Certificate will be issued for the most meritorious student, as decided by a Jury’s decision. In this case the student will be awarded a recital opportunity during the autumn of 2010 (with reimbursement of the travel expenses), and to participate without charge in one of the special master classes (given by internationally acclaimed pianists) organized by the Academy for the following year.
Auditors
A payment of € 50.oo is required for those who wish to attend the course only as auditors.
